Event Details

The 2013 California Cognitive Science Conference at UC Berkeley will bring together students, faculty and researchers from all over the world for a day of featured talks and research presentations. It will provide attendees with a chance to learn from and interact with researchers that have made ground-breaking contributions to the interdisciplinary field of Cognitive Science.
The theme for our annual conference is Learning and Memory: The Enlightened Mind, and we will be exploring this exciting topic through an interdisciplinary lens. The conference provides attendees with a glimpse into the latest research in all the fields that comprise Cognitive Science, including but not limited to Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics, Philosophy and the Social Sciences.

The Cognitive Science Student Associationat the University of California, Berkeley is extremely pleased to host the 2013 California Cognitive Science Conference! The CSSA is a group of undergraduates who strive to raise awareness about the fields that comprise Cognitive Science and to foster a community in which students and faculty can share research and ideas about the field. We host discussions, information sessions, and a wide variety of events throughout the year. The California Cognitive Science Conference is our foremost event of the year drawing hundreds of students, faculty, and researchers. Poster Presenters
Researchers from across California and around the world will be presenting their work spanning all the fields Cognitive Science encompasses. If you are an undergraduate, graduate or professional researcher who would like to present at our conference's acclaimed poster session, please submit an abstract in addition to registering for the event on EventBrite. Please email us at cssa.abstracts@gmail.com with any questions or concerns. If you are not selected to present your research at our conference and subsequently wish to abstain from attending the conference, please contact the CSSA for information about refundning. However, we strongly encourage you to still attend and experience all that the wonderful California Cognitive Science Conference has to offer. Transportation and Parking Information
Public Transit
Parking around campus is very difficult, so please try to use public transportation if possible. BART schedules and AC Transit information are available online. Visitors can travel from the Downtown Berkeley stops to the Hearst Memorial Mining Building via Campus Shuttles.
Campus Parking
There is a limited amount of hourly parking on the second level of the Lower Hearst parking structure at Hearst and Euclid, and there is additional public parking in other campus locations.
Metered Street Parking
There is limited meter parking (1 or 2 hour maximum) on Hearst Avenue and adjacent streets. Non-metered spots surrounding campus require a special permit for longer than two hours.
Public Parking Structures: The City of Berkeley operates public parking structures that are adjacent to the Berkeley campus
